there's a lot going on in the world today, especially with the fact that darkness is brewing once more. what is going on? pshh, a lot of people want to know. so what really is going on? only a few people know. and it all centers around three certain people.
it has been eighteen years since the dark lord has been defeated. it has been eighteen years since peace has been restored. the wizarding world is happy, at peace, and living their lives with family and friends, not worried at all. but there are problems, as the wizarding world can't even stay still for long.
draco and astoria malfoy were killed when their son was four, by none other than harry potter and his wife, ginevra. for what reason? he nor she has ever shared. so what happened to scorpius? bellatrix lestrange took him in. no one knew that bellatrix was alive, though, as she had had been supposedly killed in the last battle. she had only been gravely injured, and had recovered with the help of many potions and spells.
so what had happened to scorpius? he had been raised, moving from place to place, being trained as a weapon. he didn't know anything of it, as he was only a child. he didn't know that he was a malfoy either, and went by aidan lestrange. that's what he had been signed up to hogwarts as. his mother passed as a illegitimate daughter of the blacks who married a lestrange, and just slightly altered her appearance. she hasn't been recognized yet, and is starting to get cocky.
so what does lily potter have to do with anything? she's bellatrix's right hand woman. she's the one that's assuring that aidan shall become the next dark lord. but why would a potter want to work for bellatrix? she hates the fact that everyone thinks of her as some goody two-shoes, and hates being a potter. she wants to eventually be adopted by bellatrix, but her father doesn't know anything. neither does her mother.
with aidan being completely in the dark about everything, and lily making sure that it stays that way, how is everything going to roll into place? especially when james and albus potter find out about everything, and are now trying to get aidan to figure everything out. so how will everything fall into place? everything's changing, and nothing is known for sure. all we know is that everything's going to go falling down, even us.

It's the Marauder's sixth year, in a time of peace, but on the edges of the peace lurks a war. Slowly, ever so slowly but gathering speed each day, it eats away at the edges of the peaceful world inside Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Friendships are tested, friends become enemies, only rarely do enemies become friends. Tension between houses are at an all time high as well as house rivalries. Some people think that this will just blow over, while others think it's something much more serious. More sinister. Those people are right. However, for the time being the students and staff at Hogwarts while remaining ever vigilant, are going about their school lives blissfully.

In the year 2021, 23 years after the battle between Potter and Riddle, everything seemed... peaceful. Past Death Eaters that had managed to escape were slowly, but successfully being eliminated. Peace was finally brought upon the world, Wizard and Muggle alike. But little did anyone know that a new force had arisen. A force that was as dark and malicious as the abyss itself. A force that was cold and precise. A force that put on a kind and cheerful appearance to fool others. This force stayed hidden, allowing the world to think that times were safe, that everything was finally safe. But it wasn't. And no one would expect that it would be the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Soon everyone would know, soon he would tell the world, and bring Voldemort's plans to life, but with a different approach. Soon the world would have to face this threat. Would it be ready?

So it's start of term for all of our favorite bunches of witches and wizards. People bustling around, wanting anything but to miss the Hogwarts Express. With Voldemort on the slowest rise, laying low at the current moment... no one seems to know when he's going to stike. It just so happen's that Hogwarts is the safest place for any Witch or Wizard to be residing. Muggle's haven't dropped dead in month's. But who's to say that's really the end of it? No one can really be sure. It's doubtful that Voldemort really has any insight to what goes on at Hogwarts; but wait, he couldn't possibly have a spy? Someone who wander's around, checking for different passage ways into the castle? Yet... it's nearly impossible to get into Hogwarts by means of anything other than the front gate! Isn't it? Could Voldemort possibly be secretly accomplishing something huge by means of this spy? Better left unsaid of course.
Mean while, here at Hogwarts, the student's are all nerves and fidgets. There's a secret event just around the corner that all of the adults can be heard talking about in hushed tones. What could possibly have all of the teacher's in such a craze? A ball? A major tournament? School Renovation? Transfer students? All of the students minds are racing with ideas, but what could it really be? How can they possibly expect all of these teenagers to function with such a huge mystery lying right there on top of their shoulders? How can they prepare, if they don't even know what's going on? Student's are practically losing their minds, wallowing in the suspense. All the while dealing with the drama, the finals, and the romantic issues of just being a teenager. Hot tempers, forever rising hormones, school work stresses, friendship snags, and so much more in this whirl-wind of teenage existence. What will become of the student's who can't seem to find THE MISSING PIECE in their current lives?

The magical world is real, and even Muggles are aware of that fact now. Everyone, in one fashion or the next has somehow been connected to it; a woven web of tangled lies, deception, fear, hate, and anguish. And yet, some still have profited from some knowledge the Muggles now have. Wizarding families connected to Muggles believed they were doing the right thing by handing out their money... what they didn't exactly put together was what a few gold coins could really do in a Muggle world.
Wealth can be a form of power, and a demand in the magical world that could tear even the greatest of societies apart. Especially, in Muggle hands, that thirst for lust, for wealth and status has proven not only dangerous, but lethal toward all human life...
It is that very reason the brink of war is upon us… …for both Muggles and Wizards alike.
There are two different worlds, both which co-exist on one earth. A change, so invisible and undetected is happening; those on both sides are noticing it... In the human world, there are frequent murders that are occurring throughout Japan and are known as the “Red Thread phenomenon.” As the police have reported through their investigation, the murders have almost nothing in common besides the red thread tied around the victim’s smallest finger; now the police are beginning to go undercover into the Japanese schools and businesses to see if they can find anything. In addition, there are rumours passing around of being able to kill a person by using this mysterious phone service.
Why are these murders happening, who is committing them? Does this enigmatic phone service have anything do with it? No one seems to know the answer to these questions. Things may have stopped there but they do not. Most humans have not heard of Hoshikuzu Kyu (Stardust Nine), a secret organization of Sentouki who protect the human world by trying to keep the spirit world in order. But even the Sentouki are beginning to notice the numbers of spirits who are crossing over— now they are beginning to ask, why?
There must be some sort of bond between these events that explain what is going on...
It is 1890 and Hogwarts has fallen pray to the will of a new Headmistress, after the most recent one, Gertrav Zabat, had been taken away on Ministry business. Without any date of his return, Deputy Headmistress Calypsia has taken the seat of Headmistress. Since that, death seems to roam the halls and everyone could become its next victim. Even though Hogwarts is not safe, the parents seem unaware of the truth, believing the new Headmistress to be handling this problem better than Gertrav and so they send their kids back for another year. With Headmistress Calypsia Viduata, the perfect replacement, in control it seems only darkness rules within the halls of Hogwarts and we all fall prey. So the only question left to ask is...what will you do when darkness knocks upon the door?

BALDERDASH , For twenty-three years, the Wizarding World was closer to utopia than it had ever been. Although minor crimes could still be found here and there, no attacks, no discrimination, nothing. The wizards and witches who had seen the Wizarding World through it's worst time felt that it couldn't have been better. But oh, were they wrong. Maybe it's all just BALDERDASH.

So, we're not the most prominent of magical schools. This ain't no castle, because this ain't no Hogwarts! If you're looking for coffee and cake in the common room, you won't find it here. This isn't a school for the rich, the pureblooded, this isn't a school for snobs. This is a school for real people... and other miscellaneous species.

If by 'work together' you mean the odd species scuffle in the corridors, we do it just fine. But what else can you expect? The place is littered with werewolves, vampires, werecats and people with various amounts of elven blood. Not to mention the blue eyed freaks, who are just plain strange. But at least we keep things interesting, which is more than we can say for those species-ist private schools down south. Humans only? What a bore!

Crazy Russian aurors, vampires gone postal, drunk librarians, the curious case of Cora and Cara, Sleeping Beauty curses, a caretaker cursed to stay on grounds, two redheaded deputies, the abundance of twins - and not to forget, the elusive mullet man! ...time is a delicate thing, really. the four founders know this, of course, but they're too busy founding Hogwarts to worry about the time, even though it's sitting in the back of their heads, wondering if this project will be worth it. After the battle at Hogwarts on May 2, 1998, the school was left in ruins and people were picking up the pieces of their lives. It was hard seeing the school left that way. That was until a gentleman whom no one knew began to demolish the school to rebuild a new Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The question was, who was this guy? No one knew, he was there from the destruction of the old school to the newly built school then disappeared. No one was ever able to find him to thank him for doing what he had done. All new staff were hired, students began to fill up and finally the school was back in action. Thirty years later on November 3, 2028 , things started to happen, something was stir up around the school. Some students started to become possessed by doing things that no one would ever thought they would do. Things like a murder, suicides, and other unbelievable things. Students little by little become insane by what others say are whispers in the walls. No one knows what's going on and the staff is working their behind off trying to find out. The Ministry is still investigating what was going on, but no one can find an explanation. Now everyone is left wondering what's going to happen next, destruction of the entire wizarding world? That was until the Minister began to think back of when the great battle took place and all the bickering that happened about the school being in the wrecked shape it was. He then remembered that the guy that made Hogwarts possible again, to serve as the wizarding school it once was. Could it be possible that he had caused these things to happen? It was seemingly impossible, a reporter from the Daily Prophet had found an article on this mysterious guy and found that he had died six years after Hogwarts was rebuilt, on July 20th 2004. How he died was mysterious in itself. So who or what is it that is making these things happen? Are We Wanted; Dead or Alive? Come Join us to find out

24 years ago, Voldemort was defeated by Harry Potter. Everyone thought the war was over. There was peace throughout the land. That is, until now. The recent escape of Death Eaters from Azkaban prison has the Ministry in a panic. The new Minister Of Magic, Hermione Granger, doesn't know what to do. There is a new Dark Lord wreaking havoc through out the Wizarding World. Its none other than Bellatrix Lestrange.
How could this happen? Wasn't she killed by Molly Weasley? Truth is, someone who looked like her was killed that May 2nd day. Voldemort feared something would go wrong in the final battle. To make sure his thrown was safe, he ordered his most trusted death eater to go into hiding. He got another death eater to drink a Polyjuice Potion and pretend to be Bellatrix.

It's the last year at Hogwarts for the golden trio. Imagine that they stayed at school to finish their education. What will happen to them? For six years, the trio went throught their magical education at Hogwarts School. Now their last year has come. Danger pours forth faster than ever. But there's still one last hope. One person whom the burden has been rested upon. But is he still up to it? Or has something come into play that will end his, and everyone else's, last hope? The trio has stayed at Hogwarts for their last year... But was it the best decision? Will Voldemort really return?

Dreams are very powerful. They can dive us into the depths of the subconscious and show us thoughts and feelings we never let ourselves explore, they can act as a time turner and take us forward to the future, and they can also be messages from the beyond. Dreams can alter our feelings, fears, and thoughts. But what if someone has found the secret to manipulate our dreams? What if the dreams we're dreaming our not really ours but someone else far more sinister?
Well it is the year 2053 in the wizarding world. The Dark Lord, Lord Voldemort was vanquished half a century ago and the wizarding world was living in harmony (well sort of...) for more then 50 years. The vain purebloods were beginning to decrease in numbers and it seemed that there would be less prejudice in the wizarding world regarding blood lines but things were about to change back to the way it was before by the power of two men.
The Ministry of Magic have just elected a new Minister to take the place of the departed Rufus Scrimegeour. The man that was elected was Mitchell McGraith. Little did anyone know, Mitchell McGraith supported the cause of Lord Voldemort though he was not born yet. He believed that the Wizarding World should be restored to the way it was before. He believed that muggle borns had no place in the wizarding community simply because they were descended from filthy muggles. He wanted to confiscate every muggle born's wand, disallow them from taking employment in any wizarding occupation, excommunicate them from the wizarding world and worst yet, erase their memories of a wizarding world at all. He has not been able to enforce these laws just yet for he has only held office for a simple month but those were certainly his future plans.
Meanwhile, there is a man by the name of Damien Maleficus that was what you would call a mad genius. He was probably one of the most intelligent wizards at that time. Damien's specialty was the art of Divination. He was able to interpret dreams, tea leaves, predict the future, and have prophecies. Damien had always been fond of finding new spells and creating new potions. Through his research, he has found the secret spell to manipulate people's dreams. Through his experiments, he was successfully able to sneak into people's dreams and change them. He was able to alter their subconscious to do what he pleased. With this power he was able to manipulate people's thoughts and emotions. With all this power, Damien went mad and began to use this power to work to his benefit.
Damien just like the Minister of Magic despised muggle borns and felt that they were a danger to the development for the wizarding community. He felt that muggle borns were far less intelligent than purebloods. Muggle borns were mixing with purebloods and other wizards endangering the future generation with ignorance and he wanted to put a stop to it all. With his power to manipulate dreams and turn them into nightmares, Maleficus has successfully altered the minds of wizards to despise muggle borns.
After a few experiments, Damien decided to go for the most powerful man, the Minister of Magic. After watching a few of Minister McGraith's dreams, he was pleased to see that the Minister of Magic shared his view on the filthy muggle borns. Knowing this, Maleficus decided to let the Minister of Magic know of his power and how he intended to brain wash the entire wizarding community. With so much power, it is a wonder if good would overcome all this power.
With his gift of Divination, Damien Maleficus was able to see into the future. He saw that there was one man with a much greater power that could stop him and the Minister's evil plot. This man was the young Eric Levine. In Damien's vision, Eric had the special power to control just about every creature (not including humans) that walked the earth. With this power, Damien feared, would be used against him in his way to ethnically cleanse the wizards. He was also the only person that Damien could not break into his dreams. Damien thought it was wise to try and convince Eric onto their side.
Damien and Mitchell discussed their plans to Eric but to their dismay, Eric was disgusted by their plot and felt that it was up to him to create an army and make them aware of Maleficus' power which seemed to be the only way he could think of to stop them. But how was he going to get this information out to the masses when the Ministry of Magic sent out an order to hunt down Eric Levine and kill him. Eric now had to keep a low profile while recruiting people to fight on his side one by one.
Will Maleficus succeed? Will Eric be the one to stop these evil doers? Will wizards listen and believe Eric or fall to the dark side? The fate of the wizarding world is up to you.

Nineteen years have passed since the wizarding world triumphed over Lord Voldemort. Seasons have come and gone, bringing a new staff to the halls of Hogwarts. Headmistress Selenity has taken up the mantel of leadership and turned the school around. She is a mysterious woman; recommended by a recently discovered letter written by Albus Dumbledore himself.
Mysteries fill the halls of the school with intrique, new ghosts haunt the castle, and rumors of a new Dark Lord seep through the Wizarding World. Danger is on the rise, darkness hovering just out of sight as the whole world braces for a new evil to reveal itself...

The Marauders have spent the past year working for the Order of the Phoenix, a secret group created to counter Lord Voldemort and his followers. As the war reaches its peak, a group of pro-Muggle extremists begin to target purebloods - even blood traitors. Every day is another bloody battle, regardless of surnames and ancestry.
Sanctuary is an intermediate-to-advanced game with an R rating - not suitable for children (or those of a nervous disposition!). Our emphasis is on quality of writing - not quantity - and a happy, tightly-knit community of friends. Roleplaying trends are largely ignored, from our skin to our handles - no coded plotting pages here, sorry! We need creative, intelligent and above all, friendly players to help shape our future. Although we have many canons free, we also have a thriving original character population.
